A sweet lady named Kathryn contacted us and fortunately we had the cat she was looking for. Kathryn wanted a healthy Chocolate Point Balinese Female that would show well and get along with a house full of animals and children. She knew what she wanted. She had had a Javanese once and wanted another cat just like her first one as far as personality is concerned. She loves the breed! Kathryn worked as a veterinary technician for several years and chose the Balinese/Javanese breed over all others. Kathryn and her family chose her kitten from photographs we sent her and what we told her about the kitten's personality. Katie's Mom and Brother were the first to see Baby Jewel. Here they are holding her while she chews on Big Mike's hand.

Here is what she had to say once the kitten got there.

Hi- She has been crying around like she's looking for Mom. She went right up to our other kitties and said hi. How brave she is!! One of our Kittys, Pumpkin, gave a hiss and a slap with claws in. My other Kitty, Fat Cat aka: Atlantis, seemed curious and was friendly. The dogs watched through the glass door, and were wagging their tails. She is downstairs napping on my husbands chest now. She ran around and checked out about 1/2 the house, and is tuckered out.

I have a long work day tomorrow. I know I'll miss her. What a character she is. She ran , slid, jumped, and played with my Noah, the youngest of my boys. He has a gentle soul with animals and she tried to follow him to bed. He begged and pleaded that she sleep with him but she is going to be in my room. I'm going to be selfish. I've been waiting for this day since my last baby disappeared. Thank you so much for all your hard work today. Today really lifted my spirits, holding this purring fuzz ball that was giving me unconditional love.

Hi- Baby Jewell has settled in quite nicely. She has made friends with my other cats and is curious about everything. She sleeps in the bay of my arms everynight. I believe my hubbie is jealous!!!! When I get home from work she greets me like she missed me, purring and even following me to the bathroom. She is quite fast, running up the stairs at lightening speed and up the side of the couch to give a quick hello jump then tearing away. When you go to hold her though she just lets you not trying to run or get away, she just purrs. She is not as vocal as she was at first which I am relieved about. she only cries now when she is looking for someone to love. Everyone loves her, and she loves everyone. What a little blessing, and so beautiful too. I think she will show nicely if she keeps this personality. I take her for car rides and she looks out the window like a dog, then she settles in someones lap and sleeps....Amazing. Ryan is waiting for the computer but I wanted to tell you how wonderful she is.

Hi-Baby Jewell is doing great. She welcomes everyone that comes in the house and is full of love and play. Her eyes are stunning, the perfect blue, and her personality is in her eyes. She is smart as a whip. My 19 year old says she is the best animal we have ever had, and I agree. She cuddles with everyone and does not play favorites. She washes and cuddles with our other cats too. She shows no fear and loves the car for a ride. She looks out the window!!!!! She loves company and is always with us. I think you get the idea that we love her dearly. When you hold her she relaxes and does not struggle to get down. She carries around her toys like she has caught a prize mouse and her tail goes up as she struts around. She is a very talented wrestler, and beats our fat cat all the time. They sleep together and groom each other. Fat Cat is a nuetered male but Jewell acts like fat cat is her Mom. Jewell will snuggle into his big old belly and sleep. Then fat cat grooms her, and she grooms him. Our other cat no longer growls or swats at the kitten, and I have caught them cuddling while they sleep too. Although Pumpkin does not want us to know that he likes her too. He is also a nuetered Male. Jewell sleeps under the covers with us at night but somehow makes the rounds to everyones bed before morning comes. I've never met a cat quite like her. She is the best of all the cats I have ever had rolled into one. I had one cat for 21 years named Susie. Sometimes I feel she is her reincarnated. She is an old soul as we said before. Her eyes look into you not at you. Well, I guess I've rambled on enough about our new family member. Thank you both so much for allowing her to be part of our lives.

Some time passed and Katie decided that she wanted to take Crown Jewels to go to a Cat Show. Katie and her sons and some of their friends gathered 'Jewels' up and off they went. They had a ball with the young men splitting their time between helping with Crown Jewels and meeting the girls who were showing their cats and visitors who captured their interest. The boys told us afterwards that they were looking forward to the next show. They especially liked staying at a motel while they were away from home.

She is so STUNNING! One judge gave her a kiss and hug before he put her back. She recieved 8 best of breed ribbons and 8 best of color ribbons with the 8 judges. "I had 12 people ask me if I had a business card and if I had kittens for sale. They all wanted a cat just like her! She was a love and a character knocking down her ribbons and numbers. I love her dearly and my Son and I agree she was the most beautiful Kitten at the show! She is in my lap now licking my arm said Katie".

Crown Jewels has been to her first CFA Cat Show as an adult and she is now Champion Montessori's Crown Jewels.

Jewell adds so much joy to our lives, except when she decides to play at 3 am!!! She no longer tries to get on our bird cage. Squirting her with water worked, and the bird loved getting squirted. She caught a mouse the other day in the house. She was so proud!!!! Luckily it was dead before she presented us with her prize. She did not try to eat it and it was a clean kill. You could not see one bite mark on it. What size weights can she lift? She has been working out and looks great. HA HA
